Fuel Surcharge (FSC)
Our Fuel Surcharge (FSC) reflects fluctuations in road fuel costs and is reviewed weekly to remain aligned with current market conditions.
How we calculate FSC
Our FSC is calculated using our in-house fuel surcharge model, with diesel pricing benchmarked against the Platts diesel price index. This allows the surcharge to respond to changes in market fuel costs in a consistent and transparent way. Platts publishes established diesel benchmarks used to track transportation fuel prices.
Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF)
The Bunker Adjustment Factor (BAF) is a variable surcharge applied to ferry transport to account for fluctuations in marine fuel costs.
BAF charges are determined by ferry operators and can vary depending on fuel prices, route and operator.
