The driver then undergoes a 5 day training module which includes:

  • General company orientation
  • Supervised driving and feedback
  • Defensive driving techniques – awareness of tracking and telematic real time monitoring system
  • Overview of staff handbook – includes company policies related to Health, Safety and Security
  • Driver Manual
  • Health & Safety Statement awareness – hazards, risk and controls
  • QEHS Manual awareness – company’s quality system & procedures
  • Driver declaration – stating that he/she has no convictions including convictions regarding Misuse of Drugs Act 2015, endorsements, disqualifications and has no health issues that affect driving.
  • Secure load training – conducted by a qualified FTA approved trainer. The training includes classroom and practical training and is assessed with a minimum pass score of 80%. Baku complies with EN 12195.

  • Good Distribution Practice (GDP) on-line training, approved by the Irish Exports Association
  • Daily Audit procedures
